Gayle Page-Robak

Gayle Page-Robak

I began rubber stamping in 1992, scrapbooking in 2000, and ventured
into mixed media art in 2000. My educational background and career
were in Business and Industrial Management but I did have the
opportunity to study Western European Art History in College.

As a Mixed Media Artist I have completed the following certified art programs:
* Claudine Hellmuth's Collage Discovery Workshop.
* Nancy Curry's Texture Effects for Rubber Stamping.
* Mary Kaye Seckler's Book Arts-Handmade Books and Bindings.
* Lisa Pavelka's Polymer Clay Workshop.
* Bernie Berlin's Artist Trading Card Workshop.
* Sharilyn Miller’s "Bead on a Wire” Jewelry Design and Creation Workshop.

My passion for Digital Art prompted me to begin learning on my own.
That was followed by a lengthy and indepth Digital Art Program--
“Stepping Stones Through Paint Shop Pro” (SSTPSP).
I graduated from the program in 2009.

My name is Daphne, I live in The Netherlands together
with my boyfriend. I work as a nurse with elderly
people and love it tremendously.

I have been crafting now for about 1.5 years.
The first card I made was a 3D card of a Chinese scene.
I'm still learning, and developing myself through my journey
of this amazing hobby; it is sometimes overwhelming!
Seeking, finding and getting new inspiration everywhere! It's endless…
Love to make cards/tags but now I’m also into making shadowboxes!

Izabella Pierce

Izabella Pierce

Izabella is a self taught, outsider/mixed media/collage artist.

She has discovered mixed media art only within the last few years,
so she is in the midst of discovery & experimentation, learning new
techniques…like a mad scientist in a laboratory!

Recently she was introduced to Photoshop, she madly adores altering
her work digitally, which has endless possibilities for her artwork.

Izabella considers her work, “outside the box” a bit dark, and is
tremendously inspired by vintage images, in which she tries to
capture and express the haunting beauty in her works.
Each of her visions brought to life on paper have a personality
of it’s own, trying to evoke strong emotions in those who
view them. Some sweet & whimsical, while others are dark
and mysterious. Her work, at this time, mainly consists
of paper, revamped jewelry and altered art.

sharing their passion of the arts in different forms.
Spirituality, music, family, friends & her
2 young boys are her inspirations.

Something off the wall....Izabella is a proud mommy
of 2 amazing boys which she homeschools. She loves to
perform endless hours of magic tricks for her kids, a
quick movement of hand & a disappearing quarter leaves
them giggling & eyes full of wonderment and in awe of
their mommy ;) Izabella is intrigued with David Blaine
street magic! And loves to race, at Las Vegas Speedway!!

Nancy Van Hoose

Nancy Van Hoose

I am a self-taught mixed-media/collage artist.

I spent many years sewing and designing my own
fabric quilts and I am an avid knitter. Then I
spent more than a decade of scrapbooking my heritage
family photos. My grandest leap in art was discovering
ATC’s, Art Journals, and Altered Art. That is when I
really got hooked. I adore any kind of paper.

As a young adult, I attended the Center for Creative Studies
in Detroit, Michigan, 1970-1971. Then attended Macomb Community
College, Warren, Michigan in Advertising and Graphic Design, 1972-1973.

I have spent a lifetime admiring and collecting old things,
hoarding Depression glass, and coveting dinnerware. I enjoy
taking photos, assembling vintage style collage art, reading
Gothic novels, and exploring unknown phenomenon.

Purchasing my first digital camera sent me into even higher realms
of discovery. I loved the beauty of digital art, and bought many
books soaking up the information as fast as I could.
Then a whole new experience evolved.

I love traveling, and yearn daily for the sand and sea.

Unknown Fact

I have been a resident of Michigan my entire life and
married my high school sweetheart. I have two amazing
married children, and two adorable grandchildren.

Deborah Bohm Widup

Deborah Bohm Widup

Artistically I define myself as a mixed media artist who
enjoys creating in a variety of styles and formats.
Altered art is my very favorite indulgence of all!
I love to write – poems, verses, maybe just a cluster
of words - on the backs of many of my ACEOs and canvases
to add verbal snippets of feelings which can sometimes
add depth or mood to a piece. The process of creating
has often been what has carried me through tough times.
While much of my art is dark and emotional, many of my
pieces are created just for fun when I am in a playful mood.
I honestly feel that art helps me be more fully me.

Right now I am blessed to be a freelance artist with
no obligations other than to love and care for my
family members – so easy to do!! I have been considering
a return to my former career as a psychotherapist albeit
with just a handful of clients. I can guarantee you that
if I do, I will make heavy use of art as a component of
any treatment plan. On the other hand, I may choose to
remain footloose and fancy free, chasing adventures with
my husband when his recovery from cancer is complete.
Whatever or wherever my life takes me, art will
remain a central part of my journey.

I live in northern Indiana with my husband Bill.
We are both grateful that daughter Trish and our
little loves Will, Emilie, Patrick and Charlie
live close by so we can enjoy lots of hugs and
snuggling. The kids thoroughly enjoy all kinds of
art projects and it is a ball to see some of the
amazing things they come up with! They introduce me
proudly to their friends as “My grandma who is
a real artist!” How humbled and blessed that makes
me feel!! They are the biggest part of my heart.

I am delighted to be part of MoonlightJourney’s design team!
I admire both Becky’s and Lynne’s work and have purchased
pieces from both of them. How much fun to get to use their
top quality collage sheets and digital images to create
a variety of altered art projects!

Happy creating!

Terri Garr

Terri Gauthier

Let's see: I've been drawing and painting as long as
I can remember. Self taught with the addition of taking
all the art classes that were available to me in High School
along with 900 hours of Commercial art. Went to the
Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. Started with Commercial
art but switched over to Fashion illustration.
I love to draw people. So I ended up with an associates
degree in Fashion Illustration. After graduation I worked
at a small news paper as the head of Ad department.
Ok, there were only two of us but I was the head. But then I
got the design job I went to school for. I was an assistant
knit wear designer. Loved this job! Our garments ended up in
stores like Macy's. (Anybody remember Jordan Marsh?)I also worked
as a freelance artist on the side. Started Using and selling stamps
back in the 90’s with companies like PSX, Stampendeous, Embossing Arts,
Rubber Stampede, and went on to Ranger, Hampton Arts, Catherine Moore,
Stampers Anonymous to name a few. I also started my own business
as a (silk) floral designer back then as well. I have also worked
as an assistant interior designer since '96. My life was seriously
interrupted in '99 but with encouragement from family and
amazing friends I slowly started to get my art grove back.
Blogging has helped me with that as well. Joining a few Ning
sites too. Currently freelancing. Now it seems I’m dabbling
in jewelry making for the past several years. Participating
in the Bead Soup blog hops hosted by Lori Anderson.
Jill of all trades master of none. If it has something to do
with art count me in. Well, that's enough about me.

I spent many years working as a graphic artist
and learned to love creating mixed media art
using digital graphics.

Georgia Lichon

Georgia Lichon

I am a retired Pediatric nurse who has always been
involved in art. I presently live in Oceanside, CA.
with my husband of 48 years and our three grown
children and their spouses and children. We feel
so blessed to be this close together after
raising our family in the Midwest.
I love all sorts of art...I guess that's why I
describe myself as a “mixed media” artist.
I have painted with oils, acrylics, watercolor,
metallic, twinkled, glazed and used squeeze bottles.
There is so much available now that we can make
anything however, I often resort to what I call
“God’s first paintbrush” - my hands.
I just can’t stay out of the matte medium, tacky
glue,527, YES glue, glue stick, glue dots etc.
I love micro slides soldered, wire art, dominoes and
anything “found”. I love collage work mostly;
because there is no right and wrong.
I teach many classes and would like to think I have
awakened a love of collage with others.
With collage you can “lay down” stuff with glue,
if you don’t like you can paint over, rip off,
place another piece over it and if you're not
having fun… you need to stop. Find something you love.
I am excited and delighted to be a “design artist” for
MOONLIGHT JOURNEY. From what I have learned, I have
joined a first class group of artists who love doing
different art. Each of us has our own style and brings
our own “gifts” to our work. I can’t wait to share my art.
Thank you for allowing me to do collage art. Looking
for a long relationship of what I consider a great challenge
to grow as an artist and to help others grow as well.

Kym Decker

Kym Decker

I grew up loving art and was truly blessed to be
surrounded by a talented family that created everything
they saw or imagined, strictly by hand!
I easily learned all of the needle arts, decoupage,
pottery, and painting during my school years and
enrolled in every art class I could find.
I was never without my knitting needles, my pencils,
paper, and my paints, using every spare moment I
could to create something different and new!

I have instilled that same passion in my four children
and have watched their enthusiam and fascination
grow as they continue to explore their own expression
of what art means to them. I have treasured every
piece of art they have created and given to me!
There is so much love in everything they do!
They are constantly inspiring me more
than I could ever inspire them!

I now have four altered art blogs I manage and am a member
of The Artful Paper Doll, Smeared and Smudged, Creative Souls,
and Hands and Heart. I contribute my vintage postcards to
Friendship Postcard Friday and have entered and won various
altered art challenges which include, Soartful Saturday,
Theme Thursday, Small World of Inchies and Twinchies,
Darkness Inspiration, On the Dark Side, and Macabre Mondays.

I’ve always been arty in one way or another.
Drawing and painting; pastels and
oils being a firm favourite.
I’ve dabbled in many different crafts,
jewellery making and encaustic art.
But I’ve only recently started paper
crafting again and my blog began in March.
I love all things vintage. I’m especially
interested in Classical Greece and Rome,
the Renaissance period and the Victorian,
Pre-Raphaelite Era. I’ve recently
discovered Paint shop Pro and I’m really
enjoying mixing graphic images with
my crafting. Mixed media and altered art
are my two current favourites as
the possibilities are endless.

Joane Duran

Joane Duran

I’m so excited to be part of the
MoonlightJourney Design Team!
I’ve always been into crafting and creating.
When I was little I always had my hands on something-
sewing, embroidery, macramé (I’m dating myself with
that one!) anything I could get my hands on.
My mother taught me to knit when I was a teenager
and I always have something on the needles.
I’ve recently taught myself to crochet as well.
My most recent endeavor has been into creating jewelry
with digital art. I especially love vintage and nostalgic images.
I’m a preschool teacher, wife, mother and caretaker of a
naughty but adorable Chihuahua named Carlos.
I’m a San Francisco native and have recently moved to
Henderson, Nevada. I do miss the California coast but
I’m finding the desert and mountains have their own powerful
and inspirational qualities just like the ocean.
I used to think that because I could not draw, paint or sculpt
that I was not creative. I’ve come to the realization that
creativity has many forms and everyone has some type of
creative outlet. It doesn’t matter what you create, as long
as it brings you joy. I love nostalgia and anything vintage.
I’m a daydreamer to a fault and sometimes think I should have
been born in another time period. I hope you enjoy my
creations with the images from Moonlight Journey.
